Privacy Policy

GetPayout ("we," "us," or "our") operates the GetPayout mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App. By using GetPayout, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Gmail Access

GetPayout requests read-only access to your Gmail account via Google OAuth 2.0. This means:

• We can read email metadata (sender, subject, date) and limited email content to identify signals that match active class action settlements.
• We cannot send emails, modify emails, delete emails, or take any action in your Gmail account.
• We do not store your emails. Emails are scanned in memory during a session and discarded immediately after matching is complete.
• We do not read personal or private email content beyond what is necessary to identify settlement eligibility signals (e.g., order confirmations, financial institution emails, data breach notifications).

Your Gmail OAuth token is stored securely on your device using Apple Keychain. It is never transmitted to our servers except to perform the scan on your behalf.

2. Data We Collect

We collect and store the following data:

• Scan results — the list of settlements you matched against and estimated payout amounts. Stored locally on your device.
• Filed claims — a record of which settlements you chose to file claims for, stored locally on your device.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active paid subscription, managed through Apple's in-app purchase system.
• State of residence — used to filter state-restricted settlements. Stored locally on your device.

We do not operate a user account system. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is described above.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

• Email content beyond what is necessary for settlement matching
• Contact lists or address books
• Location data
• Device identifiers beyond what Apple provides to all App Store apps
• Browsing history

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect solely to:

• Identify class action settlements you may qualify for based on your Gmail history
• Display your matched settlements and estimated payouts within the App
• Maintain a record of claims you have filed for your reference
• Filter settlements based on your state of residence

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google LLC — Gmail API, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Our use of Gmail data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• Apple Inc. — In-app purchases and App Store distribution, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Hosts our settlements database. We do not send any user data to Supabase. Only the settlement listings (which are public court records) are stored there.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we store data locally on your device rather than on our servers, you can delete all data associated with GetPayout at any time by uninstalling the App.

To revoke Gmail access, go to your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions, find GetPayout, and remove access. You can also disconnect from within the App under Account settings.

7. Children's Privacy

GetPayout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through the App. Your continued use of GetPayout after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
